Born and raised in Kelowna, BC Canada, Mike earned a Bachelors in Civil Engineering before transitioning into the electrical trade. He apprenticed in Calgary, AB beginning in 2002, working in commercial electrical construction on logistics facilities, malls, retail stores, banks, restaurants, and other commercial projects. After completing his apprenticeship and becoming a Red Seal Journeyman Electrician, he continued building experience across multiple sectors of the industry.
In 2008, Mike relocated to California and worked as an Industrial Electrician for the Coachella Valley Water District, installing, designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting pumps, motors, controls, instrumentation, and sanitation equipment. After several years in industrial electrical work, he returned to the residential and commercial sectors and eventually founded MAXAM Electric in 2019.
Today, Mike serves homeowners and businesses throughout South Orange County. While MAXAM Electric is growing beyond a one-person operation, Mike remains directly involved with every project.
